Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fermentation Scientist - R&D Manager with 5-7 years of experience to join our dynamic research and development team. This role will be pivotal in leading our fermentation processes and contributing to the development of biopharmaceutical products. The successful candidate will have a strong background in fermentation technology, bioprocess optimization, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage fermentation projects from conception through scale-up and production.
• Develop and optimize fermentation processes for the production of biopharmaceutical products.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to improve yield, efficiency, and quality of fermentation processes.
• Handle 2-10L fermenters and other bioreactor operations, including fed-batch, continuous, and perfusion systems.
• Work with various microbial strains, ensuring optimal growth conditions and productivity.
• Optimize processes according to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including downstream processing, analytical development, and quality control.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Prepare and present technical reports, data summaries, protocols, and SOPs.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in industrial fermentation, preferably in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record of developing and optimizing fermentation processes.
• Strong knowledge of microbial physiology, metabolic engineering, and bioprocess scale-up.
• Experience with bioreactor operations, including 2-10 L fermenters, fed-batch, continuous, and perfusion systems.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and process optimization tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with regulatory submissions and compliance in the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Familiarity with Quality by Design (QbD) and Process Analytical Technology (PAT) principles.
• Knowledge of downstream processing techniques and analytical methods.
