Position: Female Counsellor cum Coordinator (Full-time)
Location: Delhi/NCR/Greater Noida(hybrid)
Education and Experience:
The counsellor should be a Post-graduate in, Child Development, Psychology or in any related fields and trained in counselling, particularly Child and Adolescent Counseling with a minimum of 1-3 years of work experience.
Knowledge of working with children/adolescents, destitute care, trauma counselling & care, art therapy would be a plus.
Ability to coordinate the activities of the program and also lead a team of volunteers and interns, and to engage and support staff.
Capacity to make decisions
Excellent ability to engage with the team,
Good communication (both speaking & writing in English & Hindi/Hindustani).
JOB Description:
With Children and Caregivers
Encourage children to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, helping them to develop insight into themselves and their relationships.
Plan, organise, and lead structured programmes of counselling, work, study, recreation, and social activities for children.
Counsel children, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes.
Guide children in the development of coping skills or strategies for dealing with their issues.
Collect information about children through interactions, observations, or activities.
Prepare and maintain documentation based on required records and reports.
Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling programs on children' progress in resolving identified issues/problems and moving towards defined objectives.
Overall management capacity to monitor, report and guide a team of volunteers/interns.
Dealing with parents and other caregivers.
Networking, Liaison and Coordination and other administrative tasks.
To have knowledge of Networking & Liaising with Government/Non- Government Agencies
Managing training and capacity building sessions.
Skills of managing digital platforms or social media and helping Social Media team and IT team.
Engaging and coordinating with Volunteers to carry out different events and programmes of Snehi
Attending internal meetings of Snehi.
Attending meetings of Snehi for collaboration and coordination with other organisations.
Weekly / monthly review of program including visit to partners in Delhi & NCR.
To develop periodic/monthly review report and relevant documentation
Do any other incidental task and assignments as and when needed.
Leadership:
Be a role model to new & less experienced team members, demonstrating leadership behaviours and providing mentorship to aid their growth.
Demonstrated ability to create direction, influence without authority, and establish a team with vision.
Generating ideas for programs effectiveness
Lead the teams with strong influence skills
