Business DivisionsGroup FunctionsYour roleThe objectives of the data attestation process are to:

• Provide transparency to Group Finance on material data quality issues through a quantitative assessment
• Prevent financial misstatement by highlighting the impact of data quality issues on the financials, and
• Comply with recent regulations that require firms to identify data attributes, understand their authoritative source and have a proactive mechanism for identifying DQ issues.

The role will required:

• Report into one of the managers in the Pune Data Attestation team.
• Identify and investigate data quality issues within Finance.
• Track Lineage and work on identifying controls for KDEs.
• Manage the monthly manual impact assessment of data quality issues and publish monthly dashboards.
• Be responsible for preparation and maintenance of standard operating procedures related to the data attestation process and ensure they are approved.
• Be responsible for posting reference data adjustments in the ledger to enable interim remediation of material reference data issues.
• Collaborate with local IT team and work on changes.
• Act as a lead for all IT related changes impacting process.
• Raise challenges and be proactive in raising issues and identifying solutions
• Control and corroborate the report contents, completing the control checklists and being mindful of the risk assessment associated with every return.
• Identify opportunities to further develop controls, processes, and MIS in order to improve efficiency, mitigate risk and aid decision-making.

This team will be a part of Finance Data ServicesYour expertiseThe ideal candidate would have 2-5 years of Finance Data/Data Governance/Financial accounting experience in an investment banking environment.- Desire to gain knowledge of front to back processes associated with the control environment across operations and Finance.
- Understanding about equity and fixed income products.
- Experience in dealing with IT, OPS team and able to drive changes , experienced in handling UAT testing etc.
- Knowledge about the Finance Data is desirable .
- An ability to analyze large volumes of data and navigate complex data flows.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
