Job Title: Food and Beverage Cost Controller

Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Food and Beverage Cost Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling food and beverage costs to maximize profitability while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Cost Control:
- Monitor and control food and beverage costs on a daily basis.
- Analyse variances between actual and theoretical costs.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
2. Inventory Management :
- Conduct regular inventory checks and audits.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and movements.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of inventory to minimize waste.
3. Pricing :
- Assist in the pricing of menu items based on cost analysis.
- Monitor and adjust pricing strategies as needed to maintain profitability.
- Ensure all menu items are accurately costed and priced.
4. Purchasing :
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and prices.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
- Ensure timely and accurate ordering of supplies to meet operational needs.
5. Financial Reporting :
- Prepare and analyze cost reports and financial statements.
- Provide regular updates to management on cost performance.
- Develop and implement budgets and forecasts for food and beverage costs.
6. Collaboration :
- Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Provide training and support to staff on cost control practices.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement cost control policies and procedures.
7. Compliance :
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records for audits and inspections.
- Implement and monitor compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Food and Beverage Cost Controller or similar role in the restaurant industry.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management and financial reporting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
