A food and beverage (F&B) captain is responsible for the smooth running of an F&B outlet and providing excellent customer service. Their responsibilities include:
• Customer service : Ensuring guests are comfortable, safe, and well-served
• Food and beverage service : Overseeing the service team and ensuring food and beverage are served according to the hotel's standards
• Inventory and supplies : Planning and controlling supplies, and ensuring minimum wastage
• Cleanliness : Maintaining cleanliness in the F&B service area
• Training : Training service staff
• Menu planning : Planning the menu
• Guest interaction : Addressing guest requirements and interacting with guests
• Communication : Communicating with guests, other employees, and departments
• Reporting : Reporting incidents and accidents to management
• Maintenance : Notifying management of maintenance issues
