Position Overview:
A chennai based comapny are seeking a passionate and creative Fashion Designer Teacher Intern to join their thrissur Branch. This position is ideal for someone eager to develop their teaching and fashion design skills while gaining hands-on experience in an educational setting. The intern will assist in teaching design principles, supporting student projects, and contributing to the overall learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching Support:
• Assist lead instructors in delivering lessons on fashion design concepts, including sketching, pattern-making, fabric selection, and garment construction.
• Help prepare teaching materials, such as lesson plans, presentations, and class exercises.
• Conduct small group sessions or one-on-one mentoring to provide students with tailored guidance and feedback.
• Design Assistance:
• Share insights into current fashion trends and techniques to inspire and educate students.
• Demonstrate practical skills, such as sewing, draping, and digital design, using tools like Adobe Illustrator or CLO 3D.
• Assist students in developing their portfolios and final design projects.
• Classroom Management:
• Maintain a supportive and creative environment that encourages students to experiment and innovate.
• Monitor students' progress and collaborate with instructors to address challenges.
• Ensure the studio and classroom spaces are well-organized and equipped.
• Administrative Duties:
• Help manage schedules, assignments, and evaluations.
• Support event coordination, such as student showcases or workshops.
• Document and archive student work for institutional records or promotional use.

Qualifications:

• Education: Enrolled in or recently graduated from a fashion design program or related field.
• Skills: Strong foundational knowledge of design principles, garment construction, and digital design tools.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with a passion for teaching and mentoring.
• Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing personal design work is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using design software like Adobe Creative Suite or CAD programs.
• Previous teaching or mentoring experience is a plus.
