Job Title: Fashion Designer Intern (Doll Apparel)

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic intern to join our team and help bring our vision to life.

The Fashion Designer Intern will play a crucial role in the development of our doll clothing line. You will work closely with the founder to design, source materials, and establish the production process for our clothing line.

Responsibilities:

• Design:
• Create original and trend-driven clothing designs for various dolls (Barbie, etc.)
• Develop sketches, technical drawings, and patterns for doll garments
• Explore a variety of styles, from casual to formal wear
• Stay up-to-date on current fashion trends and translate them into doll apparel
• Material Sourcing:
• Research and identify suitable fabrics, trims, and embellishments
• Consider cost-effectiveness and quality while selecting materials
• Establish relationships with fabric suppliers and vendors
• Production:
• Develop a sewing and assembly process for doll clothing
• Create detailed instructions and guidelines for production
• Train and supervise other team members on sewing and construction techniques
• Packaging:
• Design creative and appealing packaging for doll clothing
• Ensure packaging is functional, protective, and visually appealing
• Training:
• Mentor and teach other team members about doll clothing design and production
• Share your expertise and passion for fashion with the team

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in fashion design and doll apparel
• Experience with sewing and garment construction (personal projects are fine)
• Creativity and originality in design
• Ability to translate fashion trends into doll-sized clothing
• Resourcefulness in sourcing materials
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced startup environment

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Fashion design education or coursework
• Previous experience with doll clothing or miniature sewing
• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or similar design software
