Job Title: Farm Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision & Management
• Lead and supervise a team of farm workers, assigning daily tasks and ensuring they are completed efficiently.
• Provide training to farm staff on proper farming techniques, safety procedures, and the use of equipment.
• Monitor the performance of farm workers and conduct regular assessments.
• Crop/Livestock Management
• Oversee planting, cultivating, fertilizing, irrigating, harvesting, and storage of crops.
• Monitor the health and well-being of livestock, ensuring proper feeding, breeding, and disease control.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure crops and livestock are healthy and free from diseases.
• Equipment & Facility Maintenance
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm facilities, such as barns, storage sheds, and irrigation systems.
• Schedule and supervise routine maintenance activities to prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Planning & Record Keeping
• Assist in planning and implementing farming schedules, crop rotation, and planting/harvesting calendars.
• Keep accurate records of farm activities, including planting schedules, livestock records, pesticide usage, and production yields.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
• Inventory & Resource Management
• Manage inventory levels of farm supplies such as seeds, fertilizers, feed, and equipment parts.
• Order supplies when needed and ensure they are stored properly.
• Control and monitor farm budgets to minimize costs and maximize productivity.
• Health, Safety & Environment
• Implement safety protocols and ensure farm workers adhere to them.
• Ensure the farm is compliant with environmental regulations and best practices.
• Conduct safety training and report any incidents or hazards to the Farm Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in farm management or supervisory roles.
• Knowledge of agricultural best practices, equipment operation, and farm safety standards.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Physical fitness to handle manual farm labor when required.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position; working hours may vary depending on the season.
• May require early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Work primarily conducted outdoors, in all weather conditions.
• Some heavy lifting and physical labor may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
