About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AI Faculty member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our state-of-the-art AI lab, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, and conducting cutting-edge research in the field of artificial intelligence, with a strong emphasis on computer vision. This position requires the faculty member to live on campus, fostering a vibrant academic community and providing additional support to students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lab Management:
• Oversee the daily operations of the AI lab, ensuring the smooth functioning of all equipment and resources.
• Maintain and update lab software and hardware to stay current with technological advancements.
• Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures for lab use.
• Teaching:
• Design and deliver comprehensive AI and computer vision courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Prepare and update curriculum materials, including lectures, assignments, and examinations.
• Provide academic support and mentorship to students, fostering a stimulating learning environment.
• Research and Development:
• Conduct high-quality research in AI and computer vision, aiming for publication in top-tier journals and conferences.
• Collaborate with other faculty members on interdisciplinary research projects.
• Secure research funding through grant applications and industry partnerships.
• Student Engagement:
• Organize and supervise student projects and research activities in the AI lab.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students on their academic and career development.
• Facilitate workshops, seminars, and guest lectures to enhance students' learning experience.
• Community Building:
• Participate in on-campus events and activities to foster a vibrant academic community.
• Engage with students and faculty outside of the classroom to support a holistic educational environment.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background:
• A Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or a closely related field with a focus on computer vision.
• Experience:
• Demonstrated experience in managing an AI lab or similar research facility.
• Proven track record of teaching excellence at the university level.
• Strong research portfolio with publications in reputable AI and computer vision journals.
• Skills and Competencies:
• In-depth knowledge of AI and computer vision techniques, tools, and applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and MATLAB.
• Experience with AI frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to live on campus and engage actively with the academic community.
