Procurement Strategy and Planning:
1. Responsible to develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company\'s goals and objectives. 2. Responsible for collaborating with senior management to determine procurement needs, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
Purchase Order Management:
1. Manage the creation and issuance of purchase orders for furniture materials, components, and finished goods. 2. Review purchase requisitions and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness. 3. Monitor order status and tracking delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
Cost and Budget Management:
1. Analyse pricing proposals, quotations, and bids to determine the most cost-effective options without compromising quality. 2. Implement cost-saving measures, such as negotiating better pricing, optimizing order quantities, and identifying alternative suppliers.
Supply Chain Coordination:
1. Collaborate with other departments, such as production, logistics, and inventory management, to ensure a smooth flow of materials and supplies. 2. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and optimize stock availability. 3. Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, and packing of furniture products. 4. Maintain accurate inventory records and implement effective inventory control measures to minimize stock-outs and overstock situations.
Contract Negotiation and Compliance:
1. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and service level agreements. 2. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and legal requirements.
Warehouse Management:
1. Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, and packing of furniture products. 2. Maintain accurate inventory records and implement effective inventory control measures to minimize stock-outs and overstock situations. 3. Conduct quality checks and inspections of incoming materials to ensure adherence to specifications.
Job Expectations:
Candidate Profile: 1. Minimum 5 yrs. of Experience. 2. A bachelor\'s degree or higher in supply chain management, or a related field. 3. Relevant work experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain management, Logistics within the furniture industry. 4. Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with the company\'s goals and objectives. 5. Ability to conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, trends, and pricing dynamics in the furniture industry. 6. Knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes, materials, and sourcing strategies. 7. Ability to negotiate terms and conditions, contracts, and pricing agreements with vendors. 8. Experience in monitoring order status and tracking delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery. 9. Proficiency in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred. Education:
