Responsibilities:Assist in mechanical system maintenance and repairs:

• Support the facility management team in conducting routine maintenance on mechanical systems, including but not limited to HVAC, air compressors, boilers, chillers, and ventilation systems.
• Collaborate with experienced technicians to troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems, and carry out necessary repairs or replacements to maintain optimal operations.

Conduct preventive maintenance:

• Assist in implementing and following preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical systems to ensure their optimal performance and longevity.
• Perform regular inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of mechanical equipment and components according to maintenance plans and industry standards.

Assist in equipment calibration and optimization:

• Participate in equipment calibration procedures to ensure accurate operation of mechanical systems, such as HVAC controls and environmental monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with experienced technicians to optimize mechanical system settings for energy efficiency and adherence to industry regulations.

Support mechanical projects and installations:

• Assist the facility management team in planning and executing mechanical system projects, such as equipment upgrades or installations.
• Provide assistance in project coordination, including researching and sourcing materials, assisting with procurement processes, and collaborating with contractors or vendors.

Ensure compliance and safety:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements while working on mechanical systems to promote a safe working environment.
• Stay updated with mechanical codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and contribute to maintaining lab standards.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree or certification in mechanical engineering, HVAC, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems commonly used in facilities, such as HVAC, air compressors, boilers, chillers, and ventilation systems.
• Familiarity with maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for mechanical equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical stamina to handle mechanical tasks that may involve lifting, bending, or working in confined spaces.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes in the facility management industry.
