Position Title: Facilities Engineer Job Location: Chennai, TN-India Job Purpose Candidate would be accountable and responsible for Chennai Caterpillar Offices Global Facilities (FM) Services PQVC Metrics, which includes EHS, Security Management, Waste Management, Annual Maintenance contracts, facility planning, Capital Projects & execution, Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting systems, facility repair and maintenance, Floor lighting and signages, Visitor Management, Emergency Medical services, Helpdesk services, Lease /License administration, Audits and Risk analysis. Apart from all the above-mentioned soft services, Candidate should be able to Manage the technical services which includes, the new office space design, construction activities. Overall Project planning, selection of vendors by working with Purchase team, BOQ Preparation, RFQ Preparation, Budget preparation (Both CAPEX and OPEX), Space planning which includes Base occupancy study, Time and Motion analysis, space utilization analysis, Hot desking solutions etc. Job Duties Demonstrated ability to work in team environment on site and remote location, all verticals of the business. Strong Safety focus background with awareness on shops & establishment act Previous supervisory and project management experiences with field experience Manage the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the degree to which the project goals, objectives and metrics are being met. Ensure the building facilities effectively serve the needs of all stakeholders. Recruit and train team members (FM agency / contractors). Identify Implement and oversee the pre-emptive maintenance programme to reduce the risk of sudden failures of critical equipment. Ensure contractors to deliver safety & Quality work practices in line with the manufacturer recommendations. Ensure the contractors always follow the house rules and the projects are handled with minimum interruption to the business. Conduct periodic briefings with on-site team/ contractors to follow-up and report on the project progress in order to anticipate any possible delays and initiate corrective action to avoid delays. Daily Walk around of the Facility Verify and report on \'As Built Drawings\' submitted by the contractor. Develop building acceptance procedures in alignment with completion and defects. Liaise and attend meetings with landlords, contractors, consultants, and other key personnel to solve electrical, HVAC technical issues and other related matters. Assist with establishing supplier/ sub-contractor performance management systems. Make decisions on routine, limited risk issues that may affect the facility. Candidates should be proficient with MS tools and should be able to generate MIS reports which includes Daily, weekly, Monthly, QBR, Helpdesk report including RT and MTTR, Consumption reports, Online reporting dash boards, Audit reports. Required Qualifications Any Bachelor\'s or equivalent Degree, preferably engineering Eight or more years of professional level experience. Proven strong sense of urgency to complete tasks on time to meet goals or deadlines. Project management skills. Demonstrated focus on quality and customer needs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify solutions. Good office desktop applications knowledge. Desired Qualifications Any safety certifications Preferred Qualification\'s Assist the management to review the maintenance/service practices of M&E. Oversee checklists for all M & E installations. Control system, Lighting Control system, Servicing & Maintenance. Manage Downtime/ Breakdowns. Manage all required of Extra low voltage (ELV) and all electrical work operations related to IBMS, Fire alarm system, UPS, Access Control & CCTV Monitoring, HVAC Travel up to 10% of time.
