The Opportunity
Arup Facades is an enthusiastic, dedicated, and energetic, multi-disciplinary team of facade designers and engineers. We are a leading consultancy in our space both locally and internationally and our team includes engineers, technical specialists, building physicists and architects, all of whom share a passionate interest in cladding design. Our creativity and technical expertise allow us to take on ambitious projects that few companies can deliver.
We have an opportunity for a talented Facade Designer to join our team in Mumbai, the successful candidate will become a permanent member of our creative, friendly team and will work on a variety of exciting projects, both in the Mumbai and internationally. You will have excellent technical, and software skills and enjoy working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams, supporting projects from inception to completion.
You'll be responsible fordeveloping excellent facade solutions and see these through from concept to implementation. It will include scrutinizing detailed designs generated by specialist facade contractors. Undertaking design yourself, you will use your knowledge and experience to support other team members.
You'll attend meetings and communicate with clients and design disciplines. Receiving support from our senior team members and training to develop your knowledge and skills.

We'd love to hear from you if you have.
• A recognized relevant qualification in Engineering or Architecture Degree or similar area.
• A minimum 3-4 years of relevant industry experience having in building, facade, and sustainability design within a consulting business environment.
• In-depth technical and design skills related to building envelope design and detailing. Ability to maintain personal effectiveness particularly during periods of higher-than-normal workload and communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments.
• The ability to develop and maintain successful client relationships. Planning and organizational skills. Experience in delivering projects to BIM standards with relevant QA processes and in Life Cycle Assessment and Carbon calculation will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Dynamo, Rhino Inside, Grasshopper, Unity and point cloud technology & plugins is highly beneficial.
