Responsibilities
• Assemble optical devices and instruments according to specifications.
• Test and calibrate optical equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Repair and maintain optical devices, including lenses and microscopes.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with optical equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and other technicians on product development.
• Perform routine maintenance on optical devices to ensure optimal performance.
• Document all work performed, including repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure all products meet quality and performance standards.
• Use precision tools and equipment, such as microscopes and calipers.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in optical technology.
• Provide technical support and training to other team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist in the development of new optical products and technologies.
• Conduct quality control inspections on finished products.
• Order and manage inventory of optical components and supplies.
• Participate in team meetings and provide input on process improvements.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Complete all required training and certifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• Previous experience as an Optical Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of optical technology and principles.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work with small, delicate components.
• Proficiency with precision tools and equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage inventory.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime or on weekends if required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Completion of relevant training and certifications.
