Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including governmental, environmental, health and safety and customs
Coordinate imports and exports of fruit and vegetable produce
Track inbound and outbound inventory
Oversee transportation of goods to meet required timeframes
Negotiate rates and contracting with carriers
Ensure quality control of imported and exported goods
Develop operational strategies to meet customer needs
Manage costs and logistics of imports and exports
Calculate shipping costs and prepare invoices
Enforce company terms and conditions of sale
Monitor daily shipments and maintain communication with shippers
Train and supervise subordinates in the department
