Experience: Minimum 4 Years of experience in handling Exports & Imports Documentation, Customs Clearance, DGFT Rules & Regulations, Advance Authorisations & EPCG, Laisoning with Customs & DGFT, International Trade Practices, EXIM / Forex Banking including LC,
Roles & Responsibilities:
Export Logistics (Outbound):
Ensure accurate preparation of export documentation and timely shipment execution with a strong understanding of commercial aspects.
Monitor the progress of post-export shipping document tracking.
Ensure timely submission of export documents to the bank and oversee their status until the AD Bank provides a reference.
Manage the documentation process and negotiate letters of credit.
Supervise compliance with statutory regulations for export shipments.
Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies such as SGS and BV for export orders.
Handle deemed export transactions, as well as third-country and cross-country shipments.
Demonstrate proficiency with both preferential (REX/AIFTA/SAFTA/IJCEPA) and non-preferential certificate of origin.
Oversee re-export transactions for various purposes such as sale return, rejection, repair, post-exhibition, etc.
Obtain GR Waivers promptly and ensure timely closure.
Manage exports under different licenses.
Control and negotiate freight expenses.
Establish and nurture relationships with customs house agents, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs, insurance agents, etc.
Maintain accurate records in digital formats.
Import Logistics (Inbound):
Manage imports from various suppliers/countries.
Handle imports clearance under MRP/BIS/IPR/WPC/SIMS/PIMS.
Manage second-hand machinery imports.
Handle temporary imports for repair/exhibition.
Manage imports to FTWZ.
Manage high sea sale transactions.
Handle merchandise trade transactions.
Coordinate with shipper, CHA, freight forwarder, S/line, port, CFS for timely clearance of import clearance.
Handle imports under various licenses - monitor utilization and close until license closure.
Experience Requirements:
Demonstrated expertise and understanding of all operational processes related to export-import activities.
Minimum 4 years of experience in export-import roles within the manufacturing or trading industry exclusively.
Excellent communication skills.
Plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations by liaising with internal customers, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, Customs, and customers.
Create and implement standard methodology logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.
Knowledge Requirements:
Strong understanding of Indian Customs, RBI regulations, insurance protocols, and port and shipping procedures.
Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements, trade barriers, and restricted countries.
Thorough understanding of logistics processes and procedures gained from previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation roles.
Expertise in technical regulations governing logistics, including import/export and customs regulations.
Familiarity with various IT tools, particularly BPCS and SAP, is advantageous.
Knowledge of advanced Excel usage and other tools such as PowerPoint for effective data analysis and presentation.
