Join us in powering the progress of global aerospace.This position will work directly with AvionX Product Delivery and Product Support team to provide In-Service engineering support that includes, coordinating issues and resolution, working with product development teams to troubleshoot and identify root cause and corrective actions for issues and implement robust reporting mechanisms to provide status of all open issues and metrics for all AvionX designed and manufactured electronic units. This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.Position Responsibilities:Provide technical project management and leadership in transitioning engineering technical data from Product Development into Product Support and Sustainment --this includes creating the data impound that is required for long term data retention purposes on all units -this occurs when we get to BLACK LABEL and it includes everything - SW/HDW/FIRMWARE - documents, tools, processes, environments, etc)Software or Hardware Sustainment -MANAGE BASELINE: maintain purview of the impounded baseline and ensure its integrity (no unauthorized changes) - work with Product Support team to address any in service uses identified with the product - define and implement troubleshooting procedures to identify root cause for a problem - attempt to recreate the problem reported, evaluate whether or not the Production Acceptance Testing procedures covered anything related to the potential issue and may need to develop some sort of Automated Test Procedure (ATP) for a quick simple checkout of the SW to determine if the SW functionality is working as designedSoftware or Hardware Sustainment -IN-SERVICE or PRODUCTION SUPPORT: , work with Product Assigned Chief Engineer, Product support, and production support to identify issues impacting unit reliability -obsolescence issues, failures in production requiring further engineering analysis -implement the standard RCCA process to assess/identify and implement corrective actions up to and including design changes, this may involve reach back to the technical Product Development team -as such, this type of request would be properly submitted through SW/HDW functional team to assign the appropriate development expertise (even if they are assigned to a new project) - once corrective action is identified and specific solution is selected for implementation - the Product Support/Sustainment Team will initiate the appropriate Engineering Change - which will identify resources required, along with schedule, costs, etc --this also gets coordinated with the Functional groups to ensure proper resource allocation is made (it may or may not involve some of the original product development folks) -but this type of change will appear as a new small scope project and will be managed through the Product Support and Sustainment organization versus traditional product developmentEmployer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.Very Good understanding of DO 254/DO178C standards is mandatoryStrong knowledge in DO 160 StandardsSystems testing knowledge and Hands on experience in using test equipmentExposure to development of DO 160 Qualification test procedures, hardware test procedures is preferredHands on Experience on IBM Rational DOORS in Requirements Management is requiredGood experience on System design of Avionics LRU components is preferredFamiliarity of Reliability calculations such as FMEA, FTA and Reliability Tools is an added advantageStrong Written, verbal communication with engineers, management, and non-engineering support staffExperience in working with suppliers or other external stakeholders is preferredAbility to work in a virtual team environmentINCOSE certification on Systems Engineering is an added advantageDetailed knowledge of FAA certification and airworthiness requirements is highly desired.Experience in test planning, setup, test development, execution, conducting tests in a lab or production environmentExperience in performing design, integration, and/or testing on avionics sub-systems, performing environmental testingExperience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Setup/ProgrammingExposure to SAE ARP 4754 & 4761 Standards.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience ) :Develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, team members, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and complete projects.Demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
