The Boeing India Engineering team is currently looking for Experienced Structures Design Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services business organization. Position Responsibilities : To support the aircraft structural design, development, Engineering Quality issues during manufacturing, configuration management (Product Data Management), CAD modeling and Drafting of part and assembly drawings. Engineering Liaison activities to address the design and manufacturing changes from supply chain and production. Analyze production and manufacturing issues and provide most effective engineering solution. Coordinate with multiple functions and stake holders to develop effective engineering solutions. Prior experience on repairs and concessions will be preferable. Create / Update /Review the CATIA based drawings based on final agreed design changes and approved Boeing design standards. Perform configuration changes using the PDM Independently plan, schedule and perform QC check and guide the team. In this role, the engineer is responsible for the first-time quality and on time delivery of their team. This position will be responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with team members in Boeing organizations and shall provide periodic update on project progress, quality metrics, project summaries, and other related documents. Perform independently or with very limited guidance from Boeing team. Should be flexible to work, to meet project targets. BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or equivalent disciplines and 8 + Years of relevant Work experience in structure design. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience in design of various aircraft structural components. Must Have skills: Aero structure design knowledge (Wings, Fuselage, empennage), Aerospace standards, Primary and secondary structures, Material selection and properties, Good understanding of Fasteners- selections & applications, Manufacturing methods, coatings & finishes, drawing interpretation, drawing creation & review. GD&T, Tolerance stack up analysis, DFMA Good knowledge on aircraft certification process. Tool knowledge: Expert level competency in Enovia, PDM, Catia V5 (Part design, assembly, GSD, Drawing creation, MBD etc.) Experience on Boeing tools and standards will be preferable. Experience quality checking procedures and best practices. Have high focus on the quality of deliverables. Able to independently work or lead the group of engineers, able to perform planning estimation and scheduling. Experience of independently developing designs using CAD Tools (CATIA primarily) for Modeling, Drafting. Able to perform independently or with limited guidance from Boeing SME. Perform with positive attitude and highest ethics. Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 8 or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 11 years\' related work experience.)
