The Boeing Company is currently looking for an Experienced Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineer - Nacelle Repairs to join the Propulsion Service Engineering Team located at Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center, Bangalore, India. The Propulsion Nacelle Service Engineering Team supports service requests, customer solutions and predictive/proactive projects for all in-service Boeing-owned Nacelle structures. Position Responsibilities : Primary responsibilities for this position include: Supports customer service requests with development of technical dispositions, instructions and designs for damage allowance/treatment and deviations to Nacelle structures design and repairs (Inlet Cowl, Fan Cowl, Thrust Reverser/Core Cowl and Exhaust). Develops, leads and reviews urgent (hours to days), long-term (weeks to months), simple, moderate and significantly complex repair schemes for metallic and composite parts including preparation of 8100-9 forms for AD-affected structure, AMOCs and major repairs. Develops creative and innovative structural repair methods, predictive/proactive projects and improvements to existing SRMs and support documentation in support of Boeing Customers and development of Boeing Nacelle Repair methodologies. Participates in current and future design/development initiatives to advocate for Customer concerns/needs and improved supportability, maintainability and repairability of Nacelle structures. Identifies and supports improvements to repair team work-flow, work distribution, repair methods and processes. Leverages Boeing Customer Support and larger Boeing networks to support Customer needs. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) : 8+ years of experience in propulsion/propulsion structures engineering. Experience with metallic and composite structures. Knowledge of airplane operating environments. Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical and hydraulic systems. Knowledge of stress analysis, structural design & mechanical design. Must be able to work collaboratively with functional teams and organizations. Must be willing to work 24/7 to interface with Boeing personnel around the world. Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Strong customer service attitude. Able to work under guidance with positive attitude and highest ethics. Desire to continuously improve our airplanes. BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience) : BE/Btech (or) Mtech with 8-11 years of Relevant Experience. Typical Education & Experience : Bachelors in engineering with 8+ years of experience in structural design and/or repair design methods or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., Masters + 8 years of related work experience).
