Procurement Management:
- Source, negotiate, and procure ingredients, packaging materials, and equipment required for bakery operations.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and favorable terms.
- Continuously evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Develop and implement inventory management processes to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with records and address discrepancies promptly.
- Forecast demand based on production schedules and seasonal trends to prevent stock-outs and overstock situations.
- Monitor and analyze purchasing trends, pricing variations, and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or service levels.
- Ensure all incoming materials meet quality standards and specifications.
- Work closely with the production team to address any quality issues related to ingredients or supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and supplier information.
- Generate regular reports on inventory status, purchasing activities, and cost savings initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with bakery managers, chefs, and other team members to understand production requirements and anticipate needs.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding procurement status, potential issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Proven experience as a Purchase Manager, Inventory Controller, or similar role in a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings.
