Job Description

Fleet Coordination:

• Plan and schedule the movement of vehicles to ensure optimal use of resources and timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor the location and status of vehicles using GPS and other tracking systems.
• Assign drivers and vehicles to specific routes based on load requirements and delivery deadlines.

Route Planning and Optimization:

• Develop and optimize delivery routes to reduce fuel consumption, travel time, and costs.
• Adjust routes and schedules in response to traffic conditions, road closures, or other unexpected events.
• Ensure that all routes are compliant with transportation regulations, including weight limits and hazardous materials handling.

Driver Management:

• Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support during their routes.
• Monitor driver performance and compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Address any issues or emergencies that arise during transport and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, driver logs, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure all transport-related documentation, including permits and licenses, is up to date and compliant with regulations.
• Prepare and submit required reports to management and regulatory authorities.

Customer Service:

• Coordinate with customers to provide delivery updates and handle inquiries or complaints.
• Ensure that customer requirements and delivery specifications are met accurately and on time.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients by providing reliable and efficient service.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure that all transportation activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure that vehicles are in safe operating condition.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents to management and take immediate action to address them.

Cost Management:

• Monitor and control transport-related expenses, including fuel, tolls, and vehicle maintenance.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency without compromising service quality.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

• 2-4 years of experience in a transport coordination, traffic management, or logistics role.
• Experience in the transport or logistics industry is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of route planning, fleet management, and logistics operations.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in using GPS tracking systems, transport management software, and MS Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ?30,000.00 per month
