Main function: Purchasing activity for all kind of Raw Material & Packaging activities in all including negotiations, sample approvals, all kind of other vendor communications. The Executive Purchaser directly supports and assists the Purchasing Head with all other tasks related to RM/PM including planning of call offs for materials for which long terms contract has been made from Europe. Immediate Superior: Purchase Head Work Assignments: Daily tasks may include but are not limited to the following:
- Understand requirement as per production schedule & buy from market with completion of all necessary procurement activities (like, RFQ, Negotiation, comparison, approval with management)
- Establish supplier and carrier relationships for long term
- Purchase order creation in system
- Assist with cost savings initiatives
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with MRO replenishment for stocked RM / PM items
- Maintain supplier specs and paperwork
- Data analysis
- Develop relationships with all stake holders production, technology, maintenance and accounting
- Resolve supplier complaints
- Investigate invoice disputes
- Other purchasing related duties
- BBA, B.Com with MBA in supply chain or Degree in engineering (Preferred chemical) & Diploma in supply chain Preferred (Full time / Part time)
- 4-5 years operations experience gained within a chemical Industry
- Good technical understanding of supply chain process as overall.
- Experience and knowledge in area of SAP system.
- Efficient & Transparent procurement process as per guidelines defined by company.
- Ensure availability of all direct material at site for scheduled production plan
- Perform/support other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned for specific projects / initiatives.
- Ensure sustainability & EHS guidelines while selecting new vendors.
