Consider how you would describe the job to someone you\'ve just met.Position Summary:Sanitation Executive are responsible for supporting good health and safety practices within the food manufacturing process, by developing cleaning processes for infrastructure and equipment\'s and provide training to all stakeholders.This position also supervise, co-ordinate and plan daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and sanitation of processing, packing and defined outside area of all lines, ensuring the cleaning and sanitation are happen within the McCain guidelines.Instructions for Responsibilities and Accountabilities: List the major responsibilities and accountabilities of the position in order of importance with most important being first etc. Each item should describe what the person in this position have to accomplish at McCain.   • Identify own goals and individual KPI\'s and develop team and their individual capability. Measure performance using organizational tools.
  • Demonstrate open, positive and constructive communication and enact McCain Foods Code of Conduct behaviors by providing support to all departments personnel in activities. This is to improve teamwork, motivation, leadership, and job specific knowledge on a routine basis as well as quarterly and an annual review. Measured through quick response and implementation of corrective actions and all sanitation people reaching required agreed targets.
  • Conduct monthly review meeting of team and drive engagement and motivation of team.
  • Plan and implementation training / development plan for all subordinates and stakeholders.
  • Communicates with shop floor staff at all times reference performance out-put, recognizing staffs achievements on monthly basis. Keeps staff up to date with any changes to company procedures or policy.
Ensure execution of the sanitation/cleaning plan (Responsibilities)
  • Responsible for all line cleaning and sanitation activities and ensure hygienic condition in plant as well defined outside plant area.
  • Cleaning verification of the plant on a daily, weekly and after a cleaning cycle.
  • Management of hygiene team to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Responsible for managing chemicals and cleaning supplies, cleaning tools, protective clothing, protective equipment\'s
  • Train Sanitation staff and users on the safe handling of chemicals.
  • Develop, Implement, review and update of all Sanitation related documents and maintain all cleaning and sanitation records.
  • Verification/review of Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Sanitation manager.
  • Work closely with Quality and Microbiologist to ensure actions are taken for all the identified areas.
  • Participate in periodic sanitation verification and validation programmers.
  • Responsible for sanitary design for any new modification, construction and new plant.
Ensure compliance all statuary requirements and McCain policies
  • Fulfill legal compliance to all relevant legislation.
  • Fulfil compliance with McCain policies and systems
  • Full compliance with food safety standards.
  • Carries out monthly safety and sanitation inspection of the all lines.
  • Operational Safety:-
  • All floors are kept dry to minimize slips.
  • All staff in the sanitation area is wearing Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Train an update all staff in relation to all safety issues within the production area.
  • Anticipates and identifies safety related problems, takes corrective action to resolve the safety issue.
  • Perform Behavior Observation.
  • Identify high risk area and work for risk mitigation plan.

  • Must have: Minimum Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineer. MSc or food technologist OR should have min. 3 years relevant experience of Food Industry

  • Should have sound knowledge on cleaning and sanitation variability. Candidates should good knowledge of food processing.
  • Should able to understand process, identify gaps by root cause analysis and correct in timely manner
  • Should report incidents, material loss by improper handling or behavior to Sanitation Manager.
  • Have knowledge of 5S, Kaizens
  • Should sound knowledge of cleaning chemicals, utilization and control.
  • Desirable to have working knowledge of food microbiology.
CORE (General Behavioral and Business) Competencies:
  • Have leadership skill to handle more than 40 workers.
  • Good communicator, coordinator and strategic planner.
  • Sound analytical and decision making skill
  • Self-motivated and able to motivate team for driving results.
  • Able to work in night shift as required
