He/she will be responsible for supporting Corporate Communication team activities for the country - specifically internal communications and corporate social responsibility. Other relevant dimension: Works collaboratively with the corporate communications team from other DHL BUs, Works closely with marketing teams to drive synergy with product related communication and PR plans.
Key Responsibilities He/she will have to perform the following key activities:
CSR
Manage the India CSR function - budget allocations, theme wise NGO partner selection, and vendor management.
Manage the roll out and adaption of global CSR mandates
Key role in presenting CSR role to the CSR core committee and senior management team
Build and shape employee volunteering efforts.
Internal Communication:
Support internal communication efforts of the department to employees on developments in country / region and globally.
Work closely on ground withal local teams on building and editing content for local magazine.
Support the department to develop specific campaigns and platforms for communication to heighten pitch of key themes amongst the employees.
Global / Regional Senior Executive (Visits): Provide on ground support for senior executive visits particularly visits by Regional CEOs.
Update of country pages on Intranet / SmartConnect.
Senior Management Team:
Support the Corporate Communication team to develop content and messages for Country Manager/ SMT speaking engagements and any public-facing meeting or speaking opportunities.
Assist in crafting key messages, talking points, Q & As and pre-interview briefings.
Media Relations:
Support the corp comm team in facilitating local media inquiries and requests by drafting messages that meet the objectives of the communication goals.
Support team and be a contact for local PR agency relationship.
Provide support and local assistance / extension to regional office (APCC) initiatives
Speaking opportunities, through leadership symposiums, networking events etc.
Skills Required
Excellent verbal and written English language skills - knowledge of one local language is mandatory
Previous experience in internal communication role is an added advantage
Previous experience in CSR role is an added advantage
Need a strong relationship builder who will communicate with people at all levels - and across many regions
Driven candidates will also get opportunities to present at various forums, international business within the group etc.
Independent - a self-starter who is able to take up projects and work under pressure with minimum supervision.
