The Molten Metal Systems business of Morgan Advanced Materials manufactures an extensive range of high-performance crucibles and foundry consumables for non-ferrous metal melting applications We provide melting solutions for foundries, die-casters and melting facilities working with zinc, precious metals, aluminium, copper, brass, bronze and other non-ferrous metals.

Key Figures: Revenue 1,114.7m (2023), ~8,500 employees, manufacturing in 20+ countries, and a global customer portfolio. A UK PLC with head office located in Windsor, Berkshire UK. Listed on London Stock Exchange; Member of the FTSE 250 Index.


Responsibilities:
Position Overview:


The Logistics, Warehouse, and Dispatch Executive will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, logistics, and dispatch functions. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient handling, storage, and distribution of our products while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics:

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods.
• Ensure accurate and timely shipment of products to customers.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers, transport companies, and customers.
• Optimize logistics operations by implementing effective strategies for cost reduction, improving delivery times, and enhancing overall efficiency.

Warehouse Management:

• Supervise and manage warehouse staff, ensuring adequate training and adherence to company policies.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits.
• Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and operates in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Oversee the maintenance and proper usage of warehouse equipment and machinery.

Dispatch:

• Coordinate and schedule dispatch operations to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
• Manage and monitor dispatch activities, ensuring accurate documentation and tracking.
• Address and resolve any issues related to dispatch delays or discrepancies.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve dispatch efficiency.

General:

• Prepare and present regular reports on logistics, warehouse, and dispatch performance to senior management.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as production and sales, to align logistics activities with business objectives.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements.


Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, and dispatch operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of logistics and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP software.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
