The Executive Director - PR and Communications will be responsible for shaping and executing strategic communication efforts to enhance brand reputation, stakeholder engagement, and visibility. This role demands a visionary leader adept at crafting compelling narratives, managing crisis communication, and building strategic partnerships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders.   • Develop and implement long-term and short-term PR, branding, and communication strategies aligned with the organizations vision and mission.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to drive effective external communication and brand-building initiatives.
  • Spearhead innovative approaches to public relations and communications to establish the organization as a thought leader in the social impact space.
PR and Media
  • Lead global and national PR strategies to ensure impactful coverage across print, online, and broadcast media.
  • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with media houses and influencers to amplify the organizations messaging.
  • Serve as a spokesperson when needed, representing the organization at press conferences, interviews, and public events.
  • Maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
  • Implement proactive crisis communication strategies to safeguard the organization's reputation.
Brand Building and Communications
  • Design and execute integrated communication strategies to strengthen brand recognition and public engagement.
  • Develop targeted engagement plans for diverse stakeholders, including global thought leaders, donors, and strategic partners.
  • Drive strategic partnerships with agencies, influencers, and media houses to enhance visibility.
  • Ensure clarity and consistency in brand positioning and messaging.
  • Expand the organizations presence on global platforms through effective communication strategies.
  • Provide insights into public sentiment and media dynamics to enable informed decision-making.
Content and Digital Strategy
  • Oversee the development and execution of digital and content strategies to enhance online engagement.
  • Leverage innovative tools and platforms to reach diverse audiences across multiple regions.
Team Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing PR and communications team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Mentor and guide team members to ensure professional growth and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resources efficiently to optimize impact.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 25-30 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, or advertising, with at least 12 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in managing global PR campaigns, media relations, and brand strategy.
  • Expertise in executing high-impact campaigns across digital, print, and broadcast media.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
  • Strong analytical skills to measure campaign effectiveness and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience in crisis communication and reputation management.
  • Ability to align communication strategies with broader organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing and mentoring teams.
  • Innovative approaches to storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
