Background: Markets Securities Operations is responsible for settlement, clearance, and asset servicing functions across all asset classes globally. The group consists of three core teams: Broker Dealer Settlement Operations, Markets Asset Services, and Trading Services Operations. Each year Securities Operations processes over 1.5 billion securities settlements & exchange executions,2 million margin related collateral moves and issues over 40 million client statements across more than 70 markets including Mexico, Chile, Brazil, Canada, Spain, Middle East, and North Africa. Role Executive Director, Broker Dealer Settlements, reporting into Head of APAC (MBMH) Markets Securities Operations Location Description Bengaluru, India | EMEA Shift Manage Fixed Income and Equities settlement process for the EMEA International markets, Stock record reconciliations for EMEA and US Broker Dealer accounts and ancillary post trade lifecycle control functions Responsible for supervising a team of 50 members, manage recruitment, performance, and development Work closely with various teams like Operations, Business units & Agent banks to ensure settlement effectiveness while maintaining regulatory risk for the firm & clients. Daily/ Weekly monitoring of key metrics and providing updates to senior management and operations group Set service standards, monitor actual performance, and review benchmarks to ensure best in class delivery Participate and support business, bank-wide and market initiatives/projects Recognize potential for greater process and reporting efficiencies and make recommendations for improvements. Understand the changing group/regulatory requirements and conduct assessment/ monitoring on operations to ensure in compliance with the standards Identify any risks or gaps in processes and work with management and the team to implement a better process. Participate in multiple system initiatives and projects and contribute to idea generation for future process or technological improvements. Expected to participate on both a local and global level. Skills and Qualifications CA/MBA with 10-12 plus years of experience in Security operations role with at least 6 plus years in Trade processing or Settlement\'s lead role supporting for Equity & FI. Exposure to Asset Servicing practices will be an added advantage. A strong control mindset and adherence to a high degree of business ethics In-depth experience with Securities products and global markets, preferably working knowledge of Euroclear and DTC settlement practices Ability to think and act strategically: Positive \'Can Do\' attitude Can operate effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines Ability to multitask and drive results through a \'hands-on\' approach Deal with day-to-day issues as well as planning and executing projects / initiatives Ensuring the team\'s activities support Operations in attaining its strategic goals Excellent attention to detail, and an ability to know when a deep-dive approach is appropriate Ability to manage a team of high achievers with diverse experience and skill sets. Successful in team environments with matrix reporting structures The candidate must be a motivated individual with a strong Partnership abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and adept at communicating with all levels of the business Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint Be innovative and suggest system improvement capabilities.
