To work in collaboration with both internal (Ag. Team & Finance) and external partners (Growers) to explore new adjoining geographies to increase contract farming area. Execute commercial acumen to convert traditional crop growers to process potato farming. Give information of scientific method (Agronomy Support) of crop cultivation to growers and support team of contract farming.Instructions for Responsibilities and Accountabilities:List the major responsibilities and accountabilities of the position in order of importance with most important being first etc. Each item should describe what the person in this position have to accomplish at McCain.Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Responsible for area, grower & Plot selection in the territory.
• Responsible for all protocols agreed for growing season, execution and implementation.
• Explore opportunities to expand growing areas for commercial crops production in SK.
• Potato growing area expansion to produce the total volume required from adjoining areas.
• Transfer cost effective and environment friendly technologies and best practices to the growers in the region.
• Motivate growers from old traditional method of cultivation to modern technology for getting better potato yields.
• Extend information to growers about pest and disease control methods: chemical and other methods of controlling pests.
• Taking practical input from field staff & improve the practices for coming years.
• Minimize pest population while following Food Safety Norms and McCain Good Agriculture Practices (GAP)
• To deliver technical solutions and analyze data to improve yield and performance of potato for coming years.
• Create acceptance of change with growers, Develop relationships with other Agriculture sectors
• Use potato quality information to anticipate potential issues and communicate to drive actions
• Gather, analyze and interpret crop intelligence information and act on it to optimize crop utilization
• Measurably improve the performance of potato yield, quantity & quality.
• Allocation of loads and grade entries within stipulated time.
• Responsible for executing timely grower payments

Requirements:Academic:

• Must have: Graduation degree in Agriculture/Horticulture with 5-7 years of experience in crop production/contract farming.
• Nice to have: A Master degree in Agriculture/Horticulture with 5-7 years of experience in Potato crop production.
