Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in creating exceptional dining experiences for our restaurant and catering events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Indian and Chinese cuisine, with a proven ability to develop and execute innovative menus, manage a kitchen staff, and maintain high culinary standards.
Responsibilities:
Menu Development & Execution:
• Develop and implement innovative menus featuring authentic Indian and Chinese dishes, incorporating seasonal ingredients and modern culinary trends.
• Standardize recipes and ensure consistent quality and presentation of all dishes.
• Oversee daily food preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
Kitchen Management:
• Lead and manage the kitchen team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Manage food costs and inventory control.
Catering & Events:
• Collaborate with event planners and clients to create customized menus for a variety of events held in our party hall.
• Oversee food preparation and execution for catering events, ensuring timely and efficient service.
Other:
• Stay informed about culinary trends and techniques, particularly in Indian and Chinese cuisine.
• Collaborate with the restaurant manager and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a positive and professional work environment.
Qualifications:
• Culinary Expertise: Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef with a strong foundation in both Indian and Chinese cuisine.
• Leadership & Management: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a kitchen team.
• Culinary Creativity: A passion for culinary arts and the ability to develop innovative and exciting dishes.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Safety & Hygiene: Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
