POSITION TITLE: Event coordinator
REPORTS TO: Sales Manager / General Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
An Event Coordinator acts as Bridge between the clients and the hotel. He ensures smooth flow and completion of events without any issues.
EVENT COORDINATOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure best client service is being made available through the event.
• Act as an bridge of communication between all teams and guests.
• Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close the queries.
• Handle the grievances to preserve the company's reputation.
• Should know about the do's & don'ts and the hotel policies and standards.
• Coordinate with all required departments and staff for the needful.
• Creating a focus on retaining the clientele. Go to extra miles to meet guest satisfaction within the hotel policies.
• Should deal with negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints.
• Follow and promote hotel standards with guests, co-workers.
• Ensures smooth flow of event with best coordination among the guest and the hotel.
PREREQUISITES:
Proven experience as Event Coordinator or Event representative with a proven track record of successfully meeting guest satisfaction. Good knowledge of event requirements. Cool tempered and able to handle pressure and hard situations. Ready to be present in property during the functions till completion of events.
EDUCATION:
MBA / Graduate with excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years experience in the Event Management, Customer relations, sales and marketing or related professional area. Preferably from Hotel, Resorts background. (Service / Front Office / Sales/ Event Management).
