DBT Developer




Position Summary


The Senior DBT Developer is responsible for designing and implementing data transformation workflows using DBT to ensure accurate and efficient data models This role involves collaborating with data engineers and analysts to optimize data pipelines and enhance analytics capabilities




Minimum Qualifications


8 Years overall IT experience with minimum 5 years of work experience in below tech skills


Tech Skills


Proficient in DBT Core DBT Cloud


Experience in ensuring data quality and optimizing data lakes


Strong skills in Python scripting and PySpark


Solid expertise in SQL


Familiarity with AWS services such as Glue Redshift S3 Athena and EMR


Understanding of data lakehouse architecture particularly with Iceberg format is a plus


Preferred Experience with Kafka and Airflow


Strong understanding of healthcare data systems and experience leading data engineering teams


Experience in Agile environments


Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail


Effective communication and collaboration skills




Responsibilities


Design implement and maintain robust data transformation workflows using DBT to support analytics and reporting needs


Collaborate to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives


Optimize existing DBT models for performance scalability and maintainability ensuring high data quality and integrity


Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines addressing issues proactively to minimize disruptions and ensure timely data availability


Oversee development of data solutions that enable predictive and prescriptive analytics


Aligns data architecture with the overall solution architecture of the organization
