ETCS Track Side Design Manager

Job Purpose Roles & Responsibilities:

Accountabilities:

Finalizing typical design of trackside and on-board sub systems in collaboration with respective product teams, obtaining approval by customer.

Application engineering for TPWS system and on-site testing of on-board system and integration test with trackside.

Also contribute to IXL design as required alongwith ETCS trackside.

Provide inputs to manufacturing units (factories) about local requirements of Indian application

. Provide specifications and information to enable product development in line with customer requirements.

Collaborate with factory and design team to Resolve technical issues faced during implementation or during DNP.

Closely work with manufacturing units (factories) to acquire product knowledge and support project design & commissioning teams in implementation.

Responsible for application engineering of TPWS system, on-site testing of on-board system and integration test with trackside.

Ensure the identification, management and resolution of all the interfaces between the Signalling Sub-system and the Other Sub-systems (e.g. Rolling Stock, track detection, telecom etc.).

Ensure the definition of the Physical Architecture of the Signalling part and Integrate it within the Overall Physical Architecture of the overall System.

Ensure the delivery of the assigned tasks on time, on budget and quality.

Ensure efficiency and standardization of signaling systems across different projects (e.g. Design specifications).

Ensure the integration and technical outcome/output of the project (technical solution implementation, budget and schedule) ensuring the contractual requirements are met.

Candidate will closely work with Japan factories to acquire ETCS product
knowledge and support project design & testing teams in implementation.

Take responsibility of finalizing typical design and its approval in collaboration with factory and customer. Application engineering for TPWS system, support to construction team, on-site testing of on-board system and integration test with track side.

Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Experience: minimum 7~10 years of experience in design of signaling system including ATP. Minimum 3 years of experience in ETCS application data design / on-board interface & Testing.

Other Knowledge and Skills:

Proven Knowledge of ETCS and IXL. In depth knowledge of ETCS SRS and data preparation activities, on-site testing methodologies.

Should be a team player and experienced to work in multi-cultural teams
