We work across disciplines to transform improved hardware and software elements into a single, integrated design. Do you have a passion for invention and self-challenge ?The RoleAs part of our ESS Engineering group, his/her mission is to support the introduction of new technology for development of green battery systems for railway traction and auxiliary applications. The ESS \xe2\x80\x93 Integrated Services Readiness & Documentation Leader is the main interlocutor with the Engineering and Project manager, manages the production of the ISR deliverables with purpose to capture all information that can influence the maintenance strategy. He/She influences the Design for integration of the maintainability constraints (DfS: Design for Serviceability), including the requirements for Predictive Maintenance (PHM: Prognostics & Health Management) and consider all the aspects to get the Services Readiness in the design of the Equipment. He/She assures that the maintenance documentation is aligned with MTA description and ISR requirements, and is responsible for application of ISR tools & methodologies and contribute to continous improvement compliant with new requirements. He/She ensures application of the best practice and development of his team with training/support to be at the required level of competence. He/She will be ensuring QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) management on ISR & documentation activities and responsible for the documentation of solutions, the follow-up of their application in the project and the growth of reliability.Main ResponsibilitiesFor development of Traction and Auxiliary energy storage systems, he/she utilises skills to lead ISR and Documentation activities for development of next generation traction and auxiliary battery systems. Responsibilities include : -

• Define best practices in his domain and communicate to his team. Create and update the knowledge guidelines, tools and templates of deliverables. Deploy those guidelines, tools and templates and promote their use. Manage ISR team involved in the design of ISR elements.
• Definition and implementation of the ISR Management Plan and Maintenance Documentation Management Plan. Manage planning, quality, cost & delivery (QCD) of the ISR Elements according to Plan and QCD.
• Define and implement organization and key processes, to provide the best quality of the documentation which must be delivered with respect to QCD targets and ISR Management PLAN objective.
• Production of the ISR Elements (LSA engineering, Maintenance documentation, Training, Special tools and test benches, Spare parts) during both Tender and Project phase.
• Manage coordination with other M\xc3\xa9tier or Function for the design of ISR elements. Manage coordination with central Function to ensure integration and compliancy with standard and best practice (REF LIB/ DFS/M&T)
• Manage Technical Authoring team in charge of the production of the maintenance documentation. Manage the workload and size the team accordingly.
• Ensure that Maintenance Documentation is published using Alstom standard Method & Tools standard (Electronic Catalogue).
• Assure efficient parts codification in line with Platform rules: materials identification, codification process, interfaces with Alstom systems, quality and normative requirements.
• Define Documentation Breakdown Structure in consistency with the Logistic Breakdown Structure.
• Promote usage of standard ISR practice compliant with international standard or Alstom central procedure and Method & Tool. Capitalize data to improve QCD on future project.
• Coordinate production of REX report upon completion of ISR WP execution with focus on applicable ISR Ref Lib update, identified needs for process improvements and possible proposals for best practices.
• Produce ISR WP KPI dashboard in line with Central/Service Platform guidelines. Coach new joinees, provide support upon request to engineers of the domain and contribute to problem solving.
• Participate in technical meetings with the customer in support of the development manager.
• Create & update the template of the design review check-list, chair the design reviews in his/her domain and approve the solutions by participating to the design reviews.
• Capitalization of feedback on reference solutions, return of experience, data and all input related to the maintenance Documentation in central ISR repository (ILS PDM).
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to standardization by reusing existing solutions or by implementing reusable solutions. Share REX, guidelines, tools, templates and check-lists with other experts and skill leaders on other sites. Provide structured REX to feed costing activities, and to enrich the technical repository.

Qualification, Knowledge & Experience

• BTech/ MTech degree in electrical/ electronic / automotive or chemistry applied to battery systems.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in ISR & LSA engineering. Knowledge of the main ISR Elements applicable to Railways equipment (RAMS, LORA, RCM, LSA, LCC, Technical Publishing, Training)
• Railway technical knowledge on the reliability and maintainability studies and experience in maintenance execution.
• Knowledge of energy storage solutions or systems incorporating advance chemistry batteries. Experience in the railway traction and auxiliary batteries would be appreciated.
• Knowledge of technical project management and industrial development cycles (V-cycle, quality reviews, ...). Training/ certification is a plus.
• Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience - Alstom tools and processes (or similar from other companies).
• Understanding of the needs of customers, attention to details, strength of proposal, responsiveness, autonomy, teamwork and ability to convince will all be qualities necessary for success on the job.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) mandatory.
