Summary The ERC Director, GH Community Health will provide independent, strategic business partnership to the respective teams across the GH Community health unit. In this role, the ERC Director GH Community Health will proactively identify and anticipate business needs and risks/potential risks to help all functions reporting into GH Community Health -incl. but not limited to Community Health Models, Institutional Business, Access Initiatives, Donations, GH Aspiring markets, Value Chain- achieving their own objectives with high ethical standards and in compliance with Novartis Code of Ethics, all applicable Novartis policies, regulations and professional industry codes.Major accountabilities:Business partnership:xc2xb7 Provide specialized ERC advise on all topics, from early concept discussion to ensure successful achievement of Unitxe2x80x99s objectives, safe adoption of innovative solutions and that strategy and tactics meet Novartis high ethical standards, Novartis Code of Ethics, internal policies, local laws and regulationsxc2xb7 Support Community Health Unitxe2x80x99 associates through effective training, pragmatic risk management and effective assurance program and fostering a culture of integrity.xc2xb7 Embraces an enterprise-view to connect functions and people, removing silos, managing complexity and co-creating solutions.xc2xb7 Risk Assessment:xc2xb7 Proactively identify, assess, anticipate risks associated to activities conducted by Community Health Unit and manage and mitigate them in a pragmatic and effective manner.xc2xb7 Ensure that within these functions there is a good understanding of ERC risks and support implementation of risk mitigation strategies.xc2xb7 Ethics & Integrity:xc2xb7 Embed the Novartis Code of Ethics and help create and sustain an ethical climate, where associates are able to bring their best and full self to work, speak their mind and embrace the values of honesty, open-mindedness, courage and accountability.xc2xb7 Support implementation of internal initiatives to foster an ethical culture.xc2xb7 Supports leaders to strengthen an ethical culture by driving open-minded discussions on dilemmas and creating a safe environment to speak up.xc2xb7 Fosters a dialogue with our people to do whatxe2x80x99s right and about the importance of protecting the companyxe2x80x99s reputation to fulfill our mission to reimagine medicine to improve and extend peoplexe2x80x99s lives.xc2xb7 Shapes the external environment in a thoughtful way, by engaging with relevant stakeholders.Act as an ERC Corporate Functions leadership member in managing and motivating the whole ERC, CFs team, support team development through feedback and coaching, while creating a positive work environment that fosters collaboration and engagement.Cross collaboration:Work collaboratively with Corporate/Regional/Country ERC and in general all ERC colleagues ensuring seamless ERC support from strategy to execution; support the xe2x80x9cglobal to countriesxe2x80x9d flow ensuring alignment of approach, avoid duplication of efforts, clarity and consistency in guardrails, agility in decision making and implementation.Serves as a crucial link between teams helping to align their strategies and operations in the spirit of integrated assurance.Acts always in the spirit of xe2x80x9cOne ERCxe2x80x9d to fully leverage the power of our functionxe2x80x99s resources to support the business.Procedures and Processes:Establish and advise on compliance standards and processes based on internal policies and guidelines.Support smooth implementation and adoption of Doing Business Ethically and BeSure tool.Identify any gaps in the implementation process and create appropriate CAPAs to drive ethical behavior and compliant conduct.Minimum Requirements:

• Preferred 9-10 years professional experience in a compliance-related role or audit role or legal role or similar valuable experience having acquired a deep understanding of compliance risks and business activities
• In depth understanding of the operations of a pharmaceutical company including medical, governance, commercial, digital/social media, content management.
• Strong knowledge of Novartis internal policies and international and local regulatory/ compliance requirements.
• Experience with reviewing or approving business material is a plus
• Experience with digital and social media activities is a plus
