Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Equity Technical Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting technical indicators and chart patterns to provide insights and recommendations on investment opportunities in the equity market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct technical analysis of stocks, indices, and other securities using various tools and techniques (e.g. chart patterns, trend analysis, momentum indicators)

- Identify potential trading opportunities and provide recommendations to portfolio managers and traders

- Develop and maintain technical models and algorithms to predict price movements and trends

- Stay up-to-date with market trends and news to inform technical analysis

- Collaborate with fundamental analysts and other teams to combine technical and fundamental insights

- Communicate technical analysis and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences

- Develop and maintain databases and tools to support technical analysis

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field

- Professional certifications such as CFA, CMT, or CAIA preferred

- 2+ years of experience in technical analysis or related field

- Strong knowledge of technical analysis concepts and tools (e.g. chart patterns, indicators, oscillators)

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency in technical analysis software and tools (e.g. Bloomberg, Refinitiv, TradingView)

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Nice to Have:

- Master's degree in Finance, Business, or related field

- Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Matlab

- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)

- Knowledge of machine learning or artificial intelligence applications in finance

- Certification in technical analysis (e.g. CMT, CFTA)
