Role Brief:
An Equity Dealer is responsible for executing buy and sell orders for financial securities, primarily stocks, on behalf of clients or the firm. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
Responsibilities:
Execute Trades: Execute buy and sell orders for stocks and other financial securities based on clients' instructions or firm's trading strategies.
Market Analysis: Monitor financial markets, study market trends, and analyze market data to provide insights and make informed trading decisions.
Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their investment goals, risk tolerance, and preferences. Provide investment advice and recommend suitable investment products.
Risk Management: Manage the firm's risk exposure by ensuring compliance with regulations and internal risk management policies. Monitor positions and assess potential risks associated with trades.
Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with clients, institutional investors, and other market participants to facilitate trading activities and generate business opportunities.
Research: Conduct research on companies, industries, and economic factors to identify investment opportunities and make informed trading decisions.
Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records of transactions, positions, and performance metrics. Generate reports for clients and management as required.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Stay updated with changes in regulations and industry standards.
Technology Utilization: Utilize trading platforms and financial software effectively to execute trades, monitor markets, and analyze data.
Continuous Learning: Stay informed about financial markets, industry trends, and new investment products. Continuously upgrade knowledge and skills through training and professional development.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification.
Experience: Previous experience as an Equity Dealer, Trader, or similar role in financial markets. Experience with trading platforms and financial analysis tools is preferred.
