About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and fast Equity Dealer to join our boutique proprietary trading firm in Indore. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of equity markets, excellent execution speed, and the ability to handle high-pressure environments efficiently. This role requires an individual who can work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and research teams to execute trades and manage portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Execution:

Execute trades in equities across various exchanges with speed and accuracy, ensuring the best possible execution for the firm's trading strategies.

• Market Monitoring:

Constantly monitor the live market, identify trading opportunities, and respond swiftly to changes in price action, market depth, and liquidity.

• Portfolio Management Assistance:

Work closely with portfolio managers to rebalance portfolios, ensure appropriate asset allocation, and manage risk within defined parameters.

• Risk Management:

Assist in monitoring market exposure, ensuring adherence to risk management guidelines, and flagging any issues that may affect trading performance or compliance.

• Client Order Management (if applicable):

Manage and execute client orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy in order placement and proper communication of execution details to clients.

• Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, ensuring smooth communication and best price discovery for trades.

• Trade Reconciliation:

Ensure all trades are settled on time by working closely with the back office for trade reconciliation, resolving any discrepancies promptly.

• Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure all trades comply with regulatory requirements, firm guidelines, and exchange rules. Provide daily reports on executed trades, market activity, and positions.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

• Trading Knowledge:

Strong understanding of equity markets, market microstructure, and execution strategies. Knowledge of order types, market depth, and trading mechanisms is essential.

• Speed & Accuracy:

Ability to execute trades quickly and efficiently under pressure, with a focus on minimizing slippage and errors.

• Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trading opportunities and manage risks.

• Technical Skills:

Proficiency in trading platforms (e.g., NSE NOW, ODIN, or similar terminals) and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of algorithmic trading is a plus.

• Attention to Detail:

Precision in order placement and trade reporting is critical to success in this role.

• Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with portfolio managers, clients, and brokers.

• Teamwork:

Ability to work collaboratively with the trading team, research analysts, and portfolio managers in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience:

• 0-4 years of experience in equity dealing, trading, or related roles in a brokerage firm, prop desk, or investment firm.
• Experience dealing in Indian equities and understanding the dynamics of Indian stock markets.

Added Advantage:

• NISM Certification (Equity Derivatives or Securities Markets) will provide a competitive edge.
• Experience with algorithmic trading or high-frequency trading environments.
• Knowledge of risk management and compliance procedures in trading.
