Job Description

Working independently and provides oversight and technical guidance on Biological Wastewater Treatment systems design for wastewater facilities, and engineering designs of moderate to high complexity to meet client project requirements. Serving as process engineer to contribute to process and/or process mechanical and/or hydraulic design and supporting construction of water and wastewater infrastructure. Developing wastewater treatment plant designs including: developing process flow diagram; influent plant data collection and analysis; performing calculations (Plant water balance, plant loading, treatment unit sizing, aeration requirement related calculation); setting design criteria; coordinating with equipment vendors; assessing technology for project applicable recommendations; write technical memorandum and preliminary design reports; designing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID); and developing control descriptions and strategies.



The successful candidate will have demonstrated design experience in the below-listed areas.



• Aerobic and anaerobic wastewater/sewage treatment



• Membrane Bioreactors



• Process modeling/simulation experience using software such as BioWin and GPS-X (Preferred)



• Having experience in Detailed design of Wastewater treatment plants, calculation of Odor control flowrates/ capacities (preferred)



• Development of design drawings and specifications on large, complex, multi-discipline design projects

Minimum Qualifications


• ME or BE in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering with 8+ years of Experience (Preferred)



• At least 5 to 8 years of experience in the relevant process industry or industrial clients



• Excellent written and oral communication skills



• Independent player with high self-motivation


Preferred Qualifications


• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineering (CEng) License (Preferred)



• Experience in International Projects will be added
