JR57426 Environment Engineer
As the EHS Engineer, you will be responsible to Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures, create and enforce global /local EHS policies, programs, and practices in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Identify and Manage risk for environmental, health, and safety hazards in the workplace.
Responsibilities and tasks :
You will be responsible for the following:
Environmental:
Lead site ISO14001/ISO45001/ Work safety standardization /RBA certification efforts and maintain continuous compliance against EHSMS standards, as well as continual improvement.
Act as the primary contact at the site for matters concerning EHS audit e.g., site internal audit, Global EHS audit, Registrar audit, and Customer audit, including planning for audit logistics.
Report audit results and continual improvement opportunities to Site leadership.
Coordinate with team to prepare and conduct scheduled EHS audits, motivational programs.
Establish and maintain a process to monitor, measure, analyze and evaluate EHS performance & objectives.
Establish and maintain process to manage any nonconformities highlighted during EHS audits/inspections.
Establish and maintain EHS training, communication, and document control process/ program.
Write technical reports based on the interpretation of EHS data, observations, and current regulations regarding inspection findings and recommend corrective actions.
Driving the organization towards best-known/best-in-class EHS practices.
Lead Statutory Approvals as per Local Laws
EHS Department Budget Preparation, Approval & Tracking
Interpret local, national, regional regulations for applicability and develop compliance plans with appropriate operations groups.
Ensure Micron's environmental programs and procedures are effective, efficient, and conform to the management system and regulatory requirements.
Be effective at presenting (both written and verbal) environmental matters to Micron Leadership and local, state, and federal agencies.
Develop and maintain accurate environmental permits, modifications, and operating procedures.
Evaluate proposed facility changes, chemical and physical manufacturing processes and address regulatory requirements as needed.
Provide customer support and technical expertise for various environmental issues and environmental regulations.
Conduct applicability determinations on environmental regulations.
Perform compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and conformance with ISO14001. Perform training of team members, as necessary.
Coordinate, manage, and conduct environmental walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to ensure operations comply with procedures and regulatory requirements.
Perform incident and event follow-up and investigation, determine root cause(s), implement containment action, establish corrective action & preventive action, and verify effectiveness.
Collect, evaluate, and communicate environmental-related metrics and performance measurements.
Identify, develop, and provide environmental training in accordance with regulations, organization & department objectives.
Develop and implement functional, cost-effective solutions for environmental issues.

Knowledgeable in environmental, health, worker safety, water, air, chemical, etc. related local laws & regulatory requirement.
Strong problem-solving skills, good analytical skills & experience in writing reports &
Excellent communication skills and good team working skills, Self-motivated.
Familarity with semiconductor manufacturing and facilities systems
Strong ability in English speaking and writing, be able to communicate with English speaking engineers both verbally and by writing.
Education Required:
bachelor's degree in in Environment Sciences or any related field of study.
Experience Required:
Minimum 8-10-year experience in Environment Sciences and/or any related field of study.
Experience Desired:
Demonstrable experience in Minimum 8 years' experience in Environment Sciences and/or Safety & Health engineering. For semiconductor Plants and/or other relevant industries is strongly preferred. Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and facilities systems
Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others.
Outstanding organization, coordination, and leadership skills - ability to coordinate and motivate groups of Employees / Consultants / Contractors.
