Job Summary:
SAP FICO consultant is responsible for implementing and configuring SAP FICO modules. Setting up financial accounting and controlling processes. Analysing and improving business processes. Customizing and configuring the SAP FICO system. Testing, support, and user training. Documenting configuration and procedures. Furthermore, SAP FICO consultant is mainly responsible for designing, building and deploying SAP-based ERP solutions; leading analysis and design in the SAP FI/CO area, directly with the key users in the Business; Conducting CRP, UAT with the Business users; and working on enhancements or modifications as required at regular intervals.
Requirements for the FI & CO modules
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with 2-3 full cycle end-to-end implementations as well as working on supporting the existing systems.
• Minimum of 7 years SAP experience supporting General Ledger and including the
• following functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounting,
• Management Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inter-company Accounting,
• Project System.
• Experience in FI integration points with other SAP modules like MM, HR, PP and PM.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects at the same time.
• Experience in a manufacturing company is a definite plus.
• Understanding of accounting business processes
• Ability to understand business processes from a customer perspective.
• Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others.
• Must be results oriented, and demonstrate a can-do attitude adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for an SAP Business Analyst
• Experience in SAP FI and CO modules (at least 7 - 10 years) - General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cost and Profit Center Accounting (CPA) and Internal Orders
• Information gathering, documenting the requirements and preparation of the required functional documents for the projects/enhancements.
• Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements.
• Implementation and support of SAP Financials (focus on FICO Controlling Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing,
• Profitability Analysis, Project System, Results Analysis, Unsettled Costs, Month End Close, Overhead assessment, and settlement).
• Design and Configuration of SAP FI & CO modules.
• Conducting Workshops, CRPs, UAT and training the End users during the project roll outs
• Participate and liaison with internal IT team or key users to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Document functional designs, test cases and results.
• Manage day-to-day support tickets of the users and provide appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with Technical teams to develop and deliver the solutions wherever necessary.
• Knowledge or working experience on Service Desk tool: ServiceNow, is beneficial.
• Work with the Global IT team members for projects and support across the globe.
• Working on continuous improvement activities/projects.
• Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter expert in FI/CO modules internally in the IT team across the organization.
• Assist in implementation or ongoing support for SOX and SOD policies.
• Ascertain SOX mitigating control reports needed by business area and help implement new controls as needed.
• Assist in all SOD resolution activities.
• Support all SOX audit activities required by the business.
• Gather data for SOX audit as required and resolve SOX deficiencies.
• Be a member of the Jason SAP Center of Excellence
• Act as a project team member for upcoming SAP implementations for the business.
• Drive projects within business areas for process improvements including analyzing existing software processes and implementing new procedures to increase productivity.
• Ability to document SAP business process needs by working with users, project leaders and management to discuss and plan guidelines and criteria for documentation of a system, program, project plan, and timelines.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner.
