Job Summary
The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the engineering department, ensuring the efficient functioning of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role involves supervising the maintenance team, coordinating repair schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. A valid PWD (Public Works Department) license is mandatory for this position.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision & Team Management
• Supervise and guide the engineering team to ensure smooth operations.
• Assign tasks to technicians and monitor performance.
• Provide training and support to staff on equipment usage and maintenance procedures.
Maintenance & Repairs
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Schedule preventive maintenance activities and ensure timely execution.
Operational Efficiency
• Manage energy usage and implement cost-saving measures.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring availability.
• Monitor vendor services and external contractors to ensure quality standards.
Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and local regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and resolve issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment servicing.
Collaboration
• Coordinate with other departments to address operational needs.
• Assist in planning and executing renovation and refurbishment projects.
• Report on department performance and submit updates to the Chief Engineer.
Qualifications Education
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
Experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Skills
• Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using maintenance management software.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications
• A valid PWD (Public Works Department) license is mandatory.
• Relevant certifications in electrical or mechanical systems (preferred).
Work Environment
• Requires physical stamina to perform tasks like climbing ladders or lifting equipment.
• May involve working in varying temperatures and environments.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
