Sr Software Engineering Supervisor



As a Sr Software Engineering Supervisor here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and managing a team of software engineers. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of software development projects and the delivery of high-quality solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans, ensuring that all software development requirements are met. You will report directly to our Software Engineering Manager and you'll work out of Bangalore location on a hybrid work schedule.



In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of our software operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of software engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the timely completion of projects and the achievement of business goals. You will also drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software development processes and efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality solutions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans


Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team in software development


Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements


Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software development processes and efficiency.


Drive Requirements, Analysis, architecture, design & development using sound engineering principles adhering to standards & Product / Program requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or a related field

Minimum 10 years of experience in software development or related roles

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in leading medium to large cross functional software development agile teams to achieve business outcome within given constraints


Experience in deploying visual & metrics-based management practices in agile teams for effective scope, quality & schedule management in collaboration with business & functional stakeholders.


Should have managed or architected one enterprise cloud application development and deployment.


Understanding of architecture & design principles, business requirement management will be preferred



WE VALUE

Experience in leading software development projects

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies

Experience with cloud-based technologies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with DCS / industrial automation systems will be a plus

Experience in handling VC++/MFC, C#.Net technologies
