We are assisting Startups, Product & Budding eCommerce players in India. And have couple of positions with Startup companies.

Position : Engineering Manager

Location: Bangalore

Must be from Startups & willing to Mentor, Nurture & grow Engineering team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -

- Provide technical guidance as well hands on management for all product development within the company

- Identify frameworks/technologies/languages/libraries to be used to achieve desired goal

- Underscores pros and cons of various technologies available and present arguments to management and technical team

- Takes responsibility for refactoring existing code

- Lead, manage and mentor a team of 5 engineers & Act as a primary Interface with senior management and operations team.

- Define standards & best practices to support agile development processes & Plan, track and estimate product development activities.

- Ensure the optimal application of technology and engineering resources to meet product development and/or customer requirements as per the product and/or marketing requirements document.

- Ensure that the product quality is world class at all times.

What we are looking -

- Must have done BS/MS in Computer Science from NIT, REC, BIT\'s or other top tier colleges.

- 5 to 11 years of total experience in Startups/Tech Entrepreneurship/building product

- 2 years of work experience in Managing engineering teams and project delivery, preferably in a startup environment.

- Strong hands on experience in Python, Django, Flask is must.

- Sound understanding of web technologies (e.g. Javascript, HTML5, CSS) and strong command over databases (MySL, PostgreSL, Redis).

- Capability to identify right technology for the job.

- Prior experience with AWS & multiple programming languages would be preferred.

- Capability to present different architectures for same problem

- Ability to make quick decisions in high pressure environments with limited information.
