What\'s the role You are a talented Engineering manager to work in the NDS group. The team creates the most comprehensive high definition live map in the market, intended to support precise navigation for self-driving cars. As a technical leader and an effective people manager you are able to hold your own in technical discussion, be a subject matter expert, and have strategic influence. Collaborations with Internal and external customer and stakeholders for understanding the Business processes and solution implementations for the acceptance criteria. Perform Technical architectural design and review. You spend time and effort hiring top talent, coaching and developing people to bring out best. Bring consistency in practices and processes across the multi-tiered architecture Improve the Software maturity standards within the team. Mentor junior engineers. Follow a documented software development process and be accountable for conformance to software quality standards. Work collaboratively with other engineering teams to ensure cross-functional goals are met. Participating in architecture and design discussions and reviews. Participating in cross-team strategy discussions within the team Enable the team to execute high-velocity software development , support their needs and resolve possible conflicts Communicate with leadership regarding progress against plans, issues, and needs. Work with users and/or product owners to help define application specifications Lead the team to follow organizational standard engineering best practice Who are you Qualifications Bachelor or Master\'s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent with total of 10 to 18 years of experience 3+ years of technical leadership and people management experience 10+ years backend application development experience - java 1.8+/Python or functional programming language Good knowledge on Oracle/SQLLite & PLSQL and excellent in writing complex Oracle PLSQL queries. SQL performance tuning experience Experience in development of Service oriented architecture, Spring framework and web services Experience in data structures and algorithms Infrastructure experience: Maven/SBT, GIT/GERRIT, Apache Spark, Amazon Web Services, Jenkins, Linux Environment Practical experience in hiring, mentoring and developing engineers Experience building REST web service clients and servers. Experience in large scale data processing leveraging frameworks like Hadoop, Map/Reduce etc. Experience of persistence with relational and NoSQL data stores.
