Jai Kisan is building the first rural fintech full-stack platform to cater to the financial needs of borrowers in rural emerging markets. Today, Jai Kisan facilitates secured and income generating loans to rural borrowers in India, mostly farmers (more than 70% of rural India is dependent on agriculture as their primary source of livelihood) from various lending institutions through its mobile and web-based platform. The platform comprises a user-friendly loan application tool utilizing a credit scoring engine of 200+ parameters for its farmers, a customizable loan origination and management system for its lenders and a full-stack CRM solution for its channel partners. The mobile and web interface is available at borrowers\' fingertips or at any of Jai Kisan\'s technologically-enabled channel partner locations. Jai Kisan is a series B funded company. Also joining in the funding was NABVentures - the VC arm of Indian development finance institution (DFI), the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) in its first-ever investment. Our team comes with a varied industry experience from private equity to management consultancy to capital markets, working towards building a franchise that delivers sustainable financing to rural India Roles and Responsibilities: As a manager, you will oversee one or more teams specializing in Backend and Mobile development You will be responsible for supervising their project deliveries, execution, and facilitating their career development through mentorship and coaching Your role includes designing, guiding, and reviewing system designs within the broader scope of your area You will promote best practices in software development and documentation, ensuring that designs align with requirements and that high-quality work is delivered within tight timelines Recruiting top-tier engineering talent will also be part of your duties You will actively contribute to the creation and implementation of the product and technology roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders Managing stakeholders, particularly in cooperation with business stakeholders, will be a key aspect of your role You will translate business requirements into technical solutions, emphasizing reusability, scalability, and testability in project development Collaborating with the product team and other leads/architects to build and deliver projects is an integral part of your responsibilities You will also oversee the reliability and performance monitoring of all customer-facing and internal projects Requirements 10+ years of professional software development experience with 4+ years of team management 4+ years of experience with AWS Proficient in one or more mobile platforms (Flutter / Android) Hands-on experience of backend technologies NodeJS, Firebase, MongoDB Strong understanding of microservice based architectures and how to achieve composability Experience of Test-Driven Development approaches Knowledge on different monitoring and logging solutions Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent Excellent communication, presentation, and coding abilities Good to have: Experience in the Fintech space Good understanding of SDLC using agile methodologies (SCRUM / Kanban / SAFe) Experience with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes Experience taking the team through performance reviews and goal settings
