Role Summary
As an Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our product development. You'll lead a talented team of backend engineers, driving innovation, scalability, and quality. Your expertise in technology, people management, and product development processes will be critical to our success. Responsibilities • Technical Leadership:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical roadmaps, architecture, and design.
• Ensure high-quality code, system reliability, and performance.
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• People Management:
• Lead, inspire, and develop a team of backend engineers.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and set growth goals.

• Product Development:
• Drive end-to-end product development, from ideation to deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders.

• Security and Privacy Practices:
• Implement robust security measures across our systems.
• Ensure compliance with privacy regulations
• Champion data protection and secure coding practices.

Qualifications Experience • 8-10 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects.

Technical Skills • Proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js).
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with serverless computing and event-driven systems.
• Experience with database design, optimization, and scalability.
• Practical knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to design and deploy scalable, fault-tolerant applications in the cloud.
• Awareness of security best practices, including encryption, authentication, and authorization.
• Understanding of privacy regulations and their impact on software design.

People Skills • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing engineering teams.
• Effective communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
• Passion for mentoring and fostering a collaborative work environment.
