YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE

• Managing multiple data and analytic PODs (implementation team)
• Liaison between the product owners and implementation teams
• Capture and translation of functional requirements to technical design
• Act as a point-of-contact for technical issues, creating documentation, monitoring service levels, and driving projects to value delivery
• Prioritizing and managing workstreams of the implementation team, responsible for timelines and escalation of roadblocks to Manager, and proactive project management style

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

• Bachelors degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science or engineering discipline
• 10+ Years of Experience, including at least 2+ years of work experience leading analytical teams
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Python, Spark, R or equivalent
• Deep knowledge of AWS services for data engineering and analytics including but not limited to Lake Formation, Glue Catalog, Glue ETL, Lambda functions, S3, and Redshift modeling
• Experience developing and maintaining CDK code and Practice good software engineering techniques, e.g., Git, scrum, branching, code reviews, spikes
• Experience with one or more of the following: Natural Language Processing, sentiment analysis, classification, pattern recognition
• Strong project management, organizational, and prioritizations skills in an agile DataOps environment
• Experience and familiarity presenting to technical and business audiences

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS)

• Experience building and scaling Minimal Viable Products
• Experience in the airline industry
• Experience in developing analytical solutions for a Finance function
• Experience with modelling in SAP HANA as an Analytical Database
• Working knowledge of statistical/machine learning tools (e.g. SAS, R, TensorFlow) preferred
• Working knowledge of "Big Data" solutions such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MapReduce, etc preferred
• Working knowledge of API Consumption preferred
• Project Management certification
• Self-motivated and take pride in building great experiences for users, whether they are employees or customers
• Resourceful in finding the data and tools you need to get the job done
• Not afraid to ask for help when you need it, or help teammates when they need a boost
• Intensely curious about finding a solution to the pain-points of our customers along the entire travel experience
