What this job involves:

why does the job exist and what is it designed to accomplish?

• Responsible for managing the TOC Mission Control Function and processes within the region. Coordinates with other regional TOC Mission Control leads to ensure Operational alignment and coverage. Assures development and execution of program processes and management frameworks.
• Collaborates with Central Office in the management of the incident and risk frameworks. Maintain and where required, develop site specific documentation and policies.
• Manages 3rd party audits within region. Assures SLA compliance at colocation and other facilities. Coordinates training programs. Collaborates with Central Office in the management of the incident and risk frameworks. Maintain and where required, develop site specific documentation and policies.
• As the West Asia Engineering Manager, you will also oversee the operations of all building systems and ensure they run efficiently, safely and cost-effectively. He/she is also responsible for achieving excellence in critical environment maintenance management program at client\xe2\x80\x99s premise, ensuring highest standards delivered and best practices implemented. The Engineering Manager is to provide comprehensive engineering, critical environment management and technical services to client, with a focus on continuous improvement and risk management.
• In addition an extensive knowledge of Facilities, Critical Environments, Engineering Systems Building Monitoring systems, computer software applications, Service Now, BI Portals as well as all products in the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Must be able to use sound judgement and discretion and must demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism and initiative to drive the organizational process. Must be able to initiate and complete projects independently, accurately and often under deadline pressure. Must have the ability to process, prioritize, assign and follow-up on requests.

Principal Responsibilities

• Client/Stakeholder Management - Manage the key client team representatives effectively to ensure that expected service levels are achieved, build strong working relationships with key client representatives Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of programs and procedures
• The Technology Operations Center (TOC) is operating as expected and in accordance with global coverage requirements. The operation coordinates with its partner region to assure 24x7 coverage.
• Represent the client\'s real estate presence with (TOC) command center. Coordinate activities with Group Technology (GT) counterparts to assure constant and informed global support.
• Manage all available notification tools and devices that support Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) environments including building management systems (BMS), electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS) and available facilities/colocation dashboards.
• As West Asia Engineering Manager to be a leader in his own sphere and work with other members of the team to meet all key performance indicators as set out in the management contract.
• Establishing all engineering process & procedures for M&E activities and to be accessible for all M&E technical related issues pertaining to the account.
• During an incident, provide escalation as required ensuring all client teams are engaged in remediation efforts. Manage stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 expectations, ensure prompt updates and where required distribute updates to incidents.
• Assure that risks, problems and events resulting from incidents are identified and followed by regions.
• Assure that associated documentation related to MCF Operations is current, accurate and available.
• During service impacting data center events, assure coordination between IT and real estate group and required stakeholders is undertaken.
• Drive and support all technology initiative at regional level

Knowledge and Experience

what knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience are needed to perform the job?

• Preferred three / four year degree from accredited university/collage with degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Information Management or Engineering Management. Post-graduation in Instrumentation control or related fields would be given preference.
• 8 to 10 years or more, experience in information/engineering management, command or operations center or closely related fields with good references. Experience in Engineering Facility Management will be added advantage.
• Proficiency of Building Management Systems and remote monitoring systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to consistently develop accurate periodic reports, under client defined critical deadlines.
• Time management, multi-tasking, and organization skills with strong attention to detail.
• Self-starter and must be able to work in a fast paced, high volume environment.
• Off hour and weekend availability is a requirement to manage the 24 x 7 process.
