  • Treasury Technology are responsible for the design, build and operation of DB’s Treasury trading, balance management and Liquidity Reporting ecosystem. In partnership with the Treasury business we look to deliver technology solutions that enable organizational liquidity management and efficiencies. We currently have a significant regulatory agenda to deliver that includes one of the top priority programmes in DB.
  • This role is to lead the engineering function for Treasury technology in the Bucharest. This is one of the strategic location for Deutsche Bank and for Treasury Technology
  • This position requires leading a multi site engineering teams utilizing modern software development practices related to Architecture Design, Development, DevOps, Quality Automation and ensuring production quality performant systems. We need to build an effective and trusted global engineering capability that can deliver consistently against the business ambitions.
  • The individual will be a senior engineer and proven technology leader with knowledge of best practices, the ability to influence change across the wider organisation and challenge the status quo.

  • Work closely with senior level stakeholders in Operations, Compliance, and Technology to design solutions to business problems, provide transparency to program status, and manage risks and issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the engineering function in our strategic locations to deliver book of work.
  • Strong preference to have a deep background in either data (ingesting, cleansing, transforming), analytics (big data), and agile development
  • Lead the Design Discussions and represent the proposed solution to architecture committee
  • Ensure our delivery capability is disciplined, controlled, transparent and fully compliant with DB’s standards
  • Implement the talent strategy for engineering aligned to the broader Treasury Technology talent strategy & operating model
  • Range of activities including:
    • Build a leading engineering capability, and culture
    • Support the continuing adoption of a scaled agile delivery model (LeSS)
    • Establish clear standards and best practice
    • Materially improve the levels of engineering discipline and pride in our work
    • Create a pipeline of talent
    • Coaching & mentoring
    • Support the integration of DevOps into engineering

Experience/Exposure

Industry / Domain Experience:
  • Knowledge of agile ways of working would be desirable
  • Knowledge of money markets trade capture and lifecycle management process would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of the Finance/Treasury/controlling domain and end-to-end workflow for a banking & trading businesses would be an advantage
Technology Experience:
  • Proven deisgn and solution skills using BigData technologies like Hadoop, Spark / Impala
  • Visualization tools like Tableau / QlikView
Education:
  • Degree/Masters engineering or software/technology related subject (or equivalent certification and/or relevant work experience
