Experian Consumer Services (ECS) is looking for a Director of Engineering, based in Hyderabad, India to work alongside our US colleagues to deliver business outcomes for the North America region.

The Director of Engineering will be accountable for setting up the ECS presence in Hyderabad - from recruitment, people development to establishing ways of working, ensuring a strong leadership presence on site, and linking the teams back to the NA Region. The role will help to shape and drive the ECS teams across multiple domains, as we build out the vision for our Hyderabad office. The Engineering Director will set the direction and the long-term vision for the team, partner with the stakeholders to realize their vision.

What you\'ll be doing

• In this role, you will lead the way for the teams to evangelize various ideas, provide technical leadership, and facilitate in design, architecture of the systems across the ecosystem.
• This role will require you to partner with stakeholders as well as teams on key business metrics in their areas, lead the way for innovative solutions to complex and challenging domain problems, and drive agility in execution by leading by example.
• You will be working on improving synergies and driving clarity between Engineering, Finance and Human Resources for forecasting.
• In addition, you will be driving Agile development maturity and facilitating quarterly planning using the Agile SAFE framework.
• You will build a team culture, drive ownership, accountability and responsiveness, provide mentorship and career development for the team, and are instrumental in the team adopting agile methodologies by removing impediments along the way with the big picture in mind.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree or Master\'s degree preferred
• 16-20 Years\' experience in Software Development with a minimum of five years of management and leadership experience
• Experience in software development, managing the technical and collaboration challenges of integrating a broad set of dependencies.
• Ability to understand and drive teams to working on cutting-edge technologies including Cloud computing, AWS, Big Data, Java, .Net, ReactJS, Typescript etc.
• Expertise in building high performance teams and coaching front line managers.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and team building skills
• Experience using Scalable Agile frameworks for technology projects.
• Ability to develop conceptual frameworks and provide recommendations on best approach.
• Experience with managing through metrics processes.
• Credit and/or financial industry experience would be a plus.
• Critical thinking and ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to think strategically and creatively, while also managing tactical execution.
• Broad business and functional understanding to balance decision-making and actions across product, operations, clients, consumers, legal, regulatory, and finance functions.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
